The waves of time rise and fall relentlessly as do past and furutre generations.
WHAT'S IN A LIFE?
Of the nine people in the photograph above (taken in 1952) only the two babies are still living. When people reflect on a life they may have listened to or read an obituary and are often amazed at how little they knew about that person. An obituary, however, encapsulates a mere glimpse of the essence of that persons life. Maybe that is enough or maybe you start to think about what was really significant about that life, their relationships and their achievements.....
EARLY DAYS NEXT TO THE COAL HOLE
I could obviously walk but have chosen to sit in the coal dust! This was at the back of a butchers shop before we moved to a "real" house. Such natural photographs are priceless.
AT THE TWILIGHT
They've had a long life together and are a little disgruntled to be the subject of attention. They are not well off but have worked hard for what they have. Perhaps 100 years old this is another priceless photograph.
